Ken Zampese was initiated in 1987 into Epsilon-Chi Chapter at the University of San Diego. His first job in football was as a wide receivers coach at Northern Arizona University, where he eventually became offensive coordinator.
After a couple of seasons on the coaching staff at Miami University (Ohio), Zampese was hired to be an assistant offensive coach with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles. He would hold the same job with the Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Rams, where he was part of the offensive coaching staff that instituted the scheme that became known as “The Greatest Show on Turf” for the team’s high-powered, high-scoring offense. He was eventually hired by the Cincinnati Bengals, first as a quarterbacks coach and then as the offensive coordinator, a position he held for two seasons.
During his 24 seasons on NFL offensive coaching staffs, he has worked with a number of prominent quarterbacks, including Brett Farvre, Kurt Warner, and Carson Palmer.
He currently works with the Washington Commanders as a senior offensive advisor.
